Job Summary Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable General Worker to join our Warehouse & Logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth handling, storage and distribution of materials and equipment. This position is integral to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting Eskom's mission of delivering reliable energy services to South Africa. The General Worker will assist in loading, unloading and transporting materials, maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety, and providing general operational support to the logistics team. Key Responsibilities Assist with the loading and unloading of goods and materials. Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse or site. Support inventory management by counting, labeling and organising stock. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse area. Report any damaged or missing materials to supervisors. Assist with basic equipment operation under supervision (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks). Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations. Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Required Skills and Qualifications Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour. Understanding of basic warehouse operations and procedures is an advantage. Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions. Strong reliability, punctuality and work ethic. Good communication skills. Experience Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or general labour roles is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus. Working Hours Full-time, standard warehouse hours. May require occasional overtime depending on operational needs. Flexibility to work weekends or shifts if necessary. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of workplace safety and basic warehouse procedures. Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently. Attention to detail and organisational skills.
