Massmart City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Overview The Search Marketing Specialist is responsible for contributing to the tactical execution of search marketing initiatives that enhance Massmart's online visibility, drive business objectives, and improve customer engagement. The role will develop and implement search marketing campaigns, ensure alignment with the broader paid performance strategy, monitor campaign performance, maintain quality standards, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support customer and merchandise strategic initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Digital Marketing / Communications or related qualification. 4+ years of proven experience in search marketing/digital marketing, preferably in a multi-brand retail environment. Advanced knowledge of search marketing platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads. Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio, and other reporting platforms. Experience in keyword research, campaign structuring, and search retargeting. Competencies and Skills Expertise in paid search platforms and campaign management. Understanding of SEO fundamentals to align paid and organic efforts. Analytical mindset to interpret campaign performance data and recommend optimizations. Collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and market trends. High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and brand consistency.
