The role: We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Engineer to play a strategic and hands-on role in building and scaling cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work across cloud, data, and engineering teams to design secure, scalable, and resilient environments while enabling cloud-native transformation and modern engineering practice. This role blends technical delivery, architecture guidance, and advisory, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both hands-on engineering and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities Design, build, and support scalable and secure GCP environments Establish cloud foundations, landing zones, and governance frameworks Lead application modernization and cloud-native adoption Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Support Kubernetes and container-based platforms Drive best practices in architecture, automation, security, and reliability Contribute to CI/CD, observability, and platform engineering Collaborate with Cloud, Data, and Software Engineering teams Participate in architecture reviews and solution design Mentor engineers and support capability development Qualifications 5+ years in cloud or platform engineering Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container platforms Background in application modernization and cloud-native practices Solid understanding of networking, IAM, cloud security, and monitoring Experience in customer-facing or consulting environments Ability to lead technical discussions and architecture decisions Strong DBT (data build tools) are an essential requirement Multi-cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure) Platform engineering and SRE practices CI/CD and GitOps experience Exposure to data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML work GCP or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) Experience in financial services or enterprise environments Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog) What We’re Looking For Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Collaborative and proactive mindset Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Passion for mentoring and enabling teams Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments High ownership and commitment to engineering quality What You’ll Gain Opportunity to work on enterprise cloud transformation initiatives Exposure to complex, regulated environments Collaboration with expert Cloud, Data, and Engineering teams Flexible hybrid working model A role with both technical depth and strategic impact #J-18808-Ljbffr
