Overview Company and Job Description: This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of mining clients, from privately owned businesses to publicly listed mining companies, while playing a key role in structuring innovative guarantee solutions that support the mining industry\'s regulatory and operational requirements. The successful candidate will gain exposure to clients across South Africa, the broader African continent, and selected international markets, providing a unique opportunity to develop expertise in a wider range of mining jurisdictions and business environments. Key Responsibilities Credit Risk & Underwriting: Analyze financial statements, conduct trend analysis, and benchmark client performance. Assess and underwrite mining rehabilitation guarantees and related guarantee products. Client & Stakeholder Management Manage and grow a portfolio of mining sector clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders. Business Growth & Innovation Monitor industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the mining sector. Contribute to product development initiatives and business growth strategies. Experience, Qualification and Skills Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Mining Engineering, Law, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CA(SA), CFA, MBA, or similar will be advantageous. FAIS compliance and RE5 certification would be beneficial but not essential. Experience Minimum 5 years\' experience in credit risk, financial services, insurance, banking, mining, or a related industry. Strong financial statement analysis experience. Experience in project finance, credit assessment, or structured transactions. Proven client relationship management skills. Knowledge of guarantee products would be advantageous. Business development exposure will be beneficial. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, financial, and risk assessment capabilities. Sound commercial judgement and business acumen.
