Responsibilities Provide sound leadership in the guiding department to ensure that all guests receive an exceptional, value‑added safari experience. Ensure all field guide department duties are met in full compliance with FGASA, NDT, and other relevant legislation. Maintain the company’s rules and culture within the department. Continuously up‑skill and develop the field guides. Oversee daily and weekly fleet inspections. Manage performance and discipline of staff. Prepare budgets and provide the GM with information on stock takes, budgets, fleet maintenance, and vehicle safety audits. Qualifications & Experience Clear criminal record. Excellent employment track record – references will be verified. Excellent English fluency and literacy. Computer literate. 2–4 years Assistant Head Guide / Head Guide experience within a 4–5 star establishment in a Big5 environment. Trails Guide – 1st Rifle. VPDA or in progress. FGASA NQF4 / higher qualification. NDT registered. First Aid certification. ARH and , & competencies. SAPS competency. Valid driver’s licence and PrDP. Hands‑on, relationship builder, high standards of service excellence, highly self‑motivated, intuitive, collaborative, passion for sustainability and conservation, focused, no‑nonsense, robust.
