This role is suited to a highly detail-oriented individual with extensive customs knowledge and a strong understanding of compliance, tariffing, and customs quality control processes within the clearing and forwarding industry. Responsibilities Processing and quality checking of customs and statutory body documentation. Auditing customs entries and related documentation for compliance and accuracy. Ensuring all customs submissions comply with legislative and company requirements. Monitoring tariffing, duty calculations, and customs framing accuracy. Identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions where required. Assisting with customs-related problem solving and operational support. Maintaining quality standards in line with company procedures and compliance requirements. Liaising with internal departments, clients, and relevant statutory bodies where necessary. Requirements Grade 12 Certificate. 1-year customs related qualification at NQF Level 3. Minimum 10 years’ import/customs experience within the Clearing and Forwarding industry. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customs framing entry capacity, handling strategic files (non-negotiable). Strong knowledge of Customs and Excise Act and customs compliance requirements. Knowledge of tariffing and duty calculations. Understanding of INCO Terms, carrier and depot conditions of trade. Knowledge of commercial, transport, carrier, depot, and statutory body documentation and stamps. Knowledge of national currencies and international codes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
