What you will be leading Running and supervising both the workshop and wash bay Managing a team: hiring, training, scheduling, delegating Overseeing repairs & maintenance on tautliner and tipper trailers Ensuring every job card, work order and database entry is accurate Enforcing strict health & safety standards Inspecting equipment, machinery and the entire workshop environment Maintaining quality, productivity and cleanliness at all times Rolling up your sleeves when needed, tools in hand Requirements Grade 12 Qualified Mechanic / similar trade 2+ years experience in a transport/logistics workshop 2+ years hands-on experience with tautliner and/or tipper trailers Medically fit and willing to work overtime/weekends Strong, respected leadership presence Deep experience working on tautliner and/or side tipper trailers A qualified mechanic background (or similar) Ability to remain calm, decisive and organised under pressure Clear communication verbal, written and technical Confidence operating workshop machinery A mindset focused on safety, structure and results You will spend around 80% of your time in the workshop, 20% managing wash bay activity.
