We are seeking an experienced and skilled IBM Mainframe Platform Lead to manage and oversee our mainframe operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and people management abilities coupled with extensive technical expertise in mainframe technologies. This role requires a proactive individual to ensure the smooth functioning, maintenance, and enhancement of the mainframe environment, driving innovation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of mainframe professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and support of the IBM Mainframe platform. Develop and implement strategies for platform enhancement, optimization, and disaster recovery. Collaborate with other IT departments and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively. Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices within the mainframe environment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the mainframe platform. Stay abreast of new mainframe technologies and trends, recommending relevant upgrades and implementations. Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the mainframe team. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven leadership and people management experience. Extensive experience with IBM Mainframe platforms. Proficiency in PL/1 and Assembler programming languages. In-depth knowledge of System Programming concepts on mainframe. Expertise in IMS (Information Management System) and DB2 database management. Experience with SAS (Statistical Analysis System). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with mainframe security products.
