“Step into a Group Accountant role where your impact goes beyond the numbers.” Group Accountant | Property | Sandton Salary: R500 000 - R600 000 CTC per annum We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Group Accountant to join a dynamic reporting team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical expertise in group reporting, consolidations, and tax, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Role Overview You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple entities, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting both statutory and management reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare annual financial statements for multiple entities, including group consolidated financials Manage full consolidation process across reporting entities Compile and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs Prepare and submit tax returns (corporate income tax, provisional tax, VAT, dividend tax, and withholding taxes – local and international) Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, general ledger, and sub-ledgers) Review trial balances and process journals, including consolidation entries Lead month-end and year-end close processes Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles Liaise with internal and external auditors Review and authorise payments on banking platforms Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and accounting policies Qualifications & Experience Completed articles (advantageous) Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial reporting or accounting role Proven experience in group reporting, consolidations, and taxation Prior team leadership or staff management experience Technical Skills Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills Experience with accounting systems (ERP exposure essential) Exposure to Cognos, Business Central, or Draftworx is advantageous Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Deadline-driven with excellent time management skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills High level of integrity and professionalism Self-starter with the ability to work independently Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Why Apply?
