It provides engineering solutions and project management services for large-scale projects, including PGM, Chrome, and Base Metals concentrators. The Role: Senior Project Engineer Mechanical/MiningThe purpose of this role is to deliver engineering solutions across major projects while ensuring technical excellence and compliance. It exists to lead mechanical engineering aspects of large-scale projects and ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget. The main focus areas include overseeing design and development, providing technical leadership, and supporting construction teams through site visits. Key Responsibilities Utilize 1015+ years of relevant experience within EPCM, mining, or minerals processing environments to lead projects. Lead and manage mechanical engineering aspects of large-scale projects from design through to execution. Review and approve technical drawings and designs while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders to support planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Conduct periodic site visits to provide engineering support to construction teams. Apply previous project experience with Anglo American, Anglo American Platinum, or Valterra Platinum. Implement experience in PGM, Chrome, Base Metals concentrators, or Platinum Smelter operations. About You B.Eng / B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering. ECSA PrEng registration (essential for signing off designs and drawings). 1015+ years of relevant experience within EPCM, mining, or minerals processing environments. Proven experience working with leading EPCM companies. Strong technical and project leadership capability with problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to operate in high-performance project environments with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in PGM, Chrome, and Base Metals concentrators (preferred). Exposure to Platinum Smelter operations (preferred). Previous project experience with Anglo American, Anglo American Platinum, or Valterra Platinum (highly advantageous).
